An Interview from Out of This World

A Site-260 researcher wearing reflective sunglasses sits across from an extraterrestrial humanoid. "Can you tell me who you are?"

"We were your original vampires, your creatures that go bump in the night..." the extraterrestrial answered by a communication board. It had a slight smile on it's face.

"And what brings you here?" asked the researcher.

"To tell you the truth, doctor... We are here for our own research. Do you remember July 8, 1947?"

   "Yes... was that?"

"Yes, that was our... what you call ''business partners'' first expedition."

   "Are they still out there?"

The humanoid made a noise similar to a giggle. "You humans always ask that. Of course, they are still out there."

   "And what about you?"

"I'll send my colleagues to take over for now. Be patient with them as they are the equivalent to young interns on this planet of yours."

"Ha! Do they at least get paid?". The researcher didn't expect an answer.

"Of course, they do and very well in Dheathers -- the equivalent of half-dollar coins -- I might add."

   "We don't use half-coins anymore."

"Well, rumor has it that your also getting rid of the one-cent. I suggest that you replace it with the now defunct coin."

"We'll see about that.". The researcher slides a piece of paper. "Just sign here and we'll expect your colleagues as soon as possible."

The extraterrestrial nods and signs the paper.

Once the extraterrestrial's arrived, they promised to stay in a human-like. They were told to place their own research station underground. They now reside at Site-260's dormitory  quarters.
